Enterprise Risk Manager
POSITION: Enterprise Risk Manager
LEVEL: Manager/Senior Manager
REPORTS TO: Partner-in-Charge
DEPARTMENT: Administration
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
Position Summary
In the near future, rating agencies and regulators will expect companies to become more aware of risk. In order to comply with upcoming rating agency requirements, companies will need to have a comprehensive enterprise risk management (ERM) process in place.
ERM requires businesses to identify, quantify, monitor and mitigate risks at an enterprise level. ERM should cover risk in the broadest possible terms, encompassing all forms of risk management across the entire organization with an emphasis on aligning risks with strategic initiatives or plans.
ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to develop business and build a practice focused on ERM and related activities.
- Ability to attract and grow staff dedicated to Eide Bailly’s service offerings.
- Ability to manage large and complex engagements focused on broader business risks and risk and control activities.
- Ability to manage teams of individuals working on complex engagements.
- Ability to conduct focused risk assessment interviews with senior executives in the context of strategic business objectives with an entity level view of business processes and organizational structure to define improve and monitor opportunities.
- Ability to facilitate functional leadership in sessions to define opportunities for alignment and coordination across traditional organizational structures focused on risk management, internal audit, internal control, compliance and business operations.
- Experience with process design and reengineering focused on entity level management processes and activities.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field; MBA preferred
- A minimum of 5 years of related Risk Management, Audit and/or directly applicable business experience
- CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE, CMA, or PMP certification desired
- Strong Project Management skills experience
- Experience leading and managing teams on entity-wide engagementsDemonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, partners, public and external agencies.
