The Minnesota ISACA chapter, in partnership with SecureIT, is pleased to offer a 2-day IT Audit Bootcamp at the Cambria Suites -Bloomington. Registration forms and further details are below. This seminar will give participants the knowledge necessary to understand and effectively evaluate controls in an information processing environment. It will outline and define basic
technical concepts, and provide a risk-based approach for ensuring that adequate controls
have been implemented. The seminar will incorporate guidance contained in leading
industry standards, most notably the Control Objectives for Information Technology
(COBIT), the Federal Information Systems Controls Audit Manual (FISCAM), and ISO
17799. It will begin at a very basic level and slowly progress into more complex technology
issues that are prevalent in today’s information processing environments. The seminar will
consist of modules that address the core areas of IT risk. Each module will explain the
objectives, risks, key controls, and primary audit procedures that can be used. You will leave
this seminar with a solid knowledge of key technology concepts, and the foundation needed
to audit these technologies and processes effectively. |

the Speaker:

Presented by Mr. Amandeep Lamba, CISSP, PMP
Mr. Amandeep Lamba is a Manager in the IT Audit and Risk Management services line with SecureIT. Mr. Lamba has experience in IT Audit and Risk Management, IT Security, and Systems Analysis. He specializes in performing IT controls reviews in support of financial statement and SOX 404 compliance audits for large clients and federal agencies; SAS70 reviews; IT Internal Audit program management and SAP security audits and implementations. Mr. Lamba has conducted several training seminars and boot camps on SAP technical audit and SAP security, Oracle and SQL Server Database security, as well as Introduction to IT Audit and Risk Management. Mr. Lamba is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), a Project Management Professional (PMP), holds a Computer Science degree from the University of Maryland, and is Green Belt certified in Six Sigma. |
