IT Leaders Roundtable: IT Governance

Seasoned professionals lead this roundtable to discuss the background and principles of IT governance, the various reference models, focus areas and processes. We will discuss the benefits of using CoBiT to implement IT Governance, we'll discuss the implementation roadmap, and review the implementation toolkit. We will also look at some real world examples.

Technical Roundtable: Virtualization Security

Virtualization is fast becoming a fact of life in modern data centers.  The business advantages of maximizing hardware investments and reducing data center costs are too significant for organizations not to adopt the technology.  However, organizations today need to recognize that the adoption of virtualization can be used to both reduce data exposure risks as well as potentially increase them.  This presentation will review the key motivators that business leaders use to make virtualization decisions, and follow up with the security implications of real world virtualization deployments that SunGard has reviewed and developed strategies to implement.  In addition to issues such as zones of trust, hypervisor vulnerabilities, and security management challenges, we'lll also discuss compliance aspects to virtualization and the necessary impact on corporate virtualization decisions.

The presenter for this presentation is Richard Rees. Richard is a nationally recognized expert in how information security trends and technologies effectively support business operations.  Richard works with SunGard’s customers to define and architect reliable, independent and timely information security solutions designed to keep them out of harm’s way – combating both external and internal threats against the enterprise.
