August Roundtable

MN ISACA presents: August Roundtable

Smart Auditing, Fraud Detection and Data Analysis - An auditor's perspectives using PC based audit tools

Wednesday, August 12, 2009

Overview:

All auditors need some database knowledge for their work; it may be Oracle, MS SQL Server, MS Access, ACL, IDEA, etc. PC based databases like MS Access, ACL and IDEA have gotten more attention recently for individual auditors. Oracle and MS SQL Server need more advanced knowledge (i.e. SQL - Structured Query Language) to retrieve valuable data.

Database tools can add value to the audit profession by extending audit capabilities, detecting fraud, meeting documentation standards, and finally reducing costs. This interactive database discussion will help both the IT and financial auditor to become more effective.
