Overview:

This seminar will give participants the knowledge necessary
to understand and effectively evaluate controls over an Oracle database
management system. Participants will learn the various facilities of Oracle
and the controls that provide security, integrity, and recovery controls for
the Oracle database and the information contained therein. Areas that will be
addressed include security architecture, user authentication controls,
discretionary access controls, privileged access controls, auditing controls,
host operating system controls, database object and transactional integrity
controls, and database recovery controls. The seminar will focus on how
Oracle databases can be controlled in network-centric and multi-tier
distributed application environments.
