Auditing Wireless Security

Overview:

This course will address the fundamental security issues related to WLANs. The focus of the course will be providing an understanding of wireless security concepts and control techniques, along with appropriate technical details to illustrate and expand on these concepts. Some commonly used WLAN security audit and hacking tools (such as Aircrack) will be also discussed. A detailed outline of this course is below.

Audience: This seminar is targeted for IT audit and security professionals tasked with evaluating wireless security controls.
Prerequisites: A basic understanding of general IT concepts.
 
CPE:

This training qualifies as 16 CPE hours.

About the Speaker:

Mr. Jamie Pole, CISA, CFSA
Mr. Jamie C. Pole is Co-Founder & Principal Consultant of J.C. Pole & Associates, Inc., a SecureIT alliance partner. Mr. Pole specializes in information security, information forensics, industrial espionage countermeasures, and secure electronic commerce & banking systems. During his 15-year career in information security & forensics, Mr. Pole has conducted numerous penetration analyses, Tiger Team assessments, and forensic investigations. He has extensive experience in the detection and prevention of industrial espionage, as well as in matters related to the forensics of computer crime. When Mr. Pole is not actively consulting, he is a highly sought after public speaker and commentator, having developed and presented seminars and formal courses on a variety of information technology and commercial intelligence topics. Mr. Pole has delivered his training programs in five languages, on a global basis. He also delivers custom and public training for various institutions and government agencies. Previously, Mr. Pole served as Vice President and Regional Head of Data Security for a large multinational commercial bank.
