 About the Speakers:

Mark Irving has been with ALLETE for over 27 years, holding positions in Engineering Computer Applications, Information Systems, Load Research, and Internal Audit. Mark was the president of the consulting firm, Irving M&D Family Computer Practice, and is also founder and co-owner of Teleport Enterprises, a hand-held and web training firm located in Duluth.


Mark is a contributing writer to Auerbach & CRC Press publications, specializing in audit and security-related articles. He is the Webmaster of the Lake Superior Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors and a frequent guest speaker for many of their functions.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree from the University of Minnesota - Duluth, with an emphasis in Electronics and a minor concentration in Computer Science. Mark also had post-graduate training in statistics at St. Scholastica and Georgia Institute of Technology. Mark is Certified Information Systems Auditor and makes his home in Duluth.
