| Overview: | This roundtable will focus on the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard, and methods for auditing compliance. Most major credit card companies have adopted the (PCI) standard, which was jointly developed by VISA and MasterCard. Adopters of the standard include American Express, Diners Club, Discover, and JCB International. (PCI) Data Security Requirements apply to all members, merchants, and service providers that store, process or transmit cardholder data. Additionally, MasterCard intends to make annual self-assesments and quarterly security scans manditory beginning June 30, 2006. |
